PR is your chance to make the world aware of your inventive/groundbreaking/clever original creation and take ownership of its origin story. Key positive press about your proud first accomplishment will be the foundation for your next one and keep funding flowing from current and future investors, spark collaborations with complementary and likeminded brands, and generate speaking engagements that will elevate you as an authority in your sector.
I am also retained by established brands to identify and develop strategies to evolve their businesses and achieve press coverage.
One time, I walked into a restaurant, tasted the food, spoke to the founders, and within a week achieved an article with color photos in The New York Times. It can happen! Usually, the pace and goal is to have two to three pieces of positive press in the top media relevant to your industry within the first few months of our official start date. Features can be achieved within a six-month time range. I work to maintain a constant pulse of press attention throughout our agreement.
A six-month minimum is my recommendation. That provides time for me to properly educate myself about your brand and your business; create press-facing communications; target media that’s best for you; and then generate a properly timed burst of press that will drive sales and traffic.
To achieve magazine or national broadcast coverage, it will take a minimum one-year commitment.
A customized, straightforward six-month scope of work starts at $15,000.
Your creation/brand/venue for the public must be available or accessible to the public. For national press, your product or service needs to be available to purchase nationwide, often specifically in brick-and-mortar (actual) stores.
I will also need professional photographs and video of your creation, your venue, your founders. Don't have yet? I can connect you with several professional photo/videographers who offer competitive pricing.
You must also have a professional web site or online platform that press can access to do their own reporting and fact-checking – and so that prospective clients can find you. Again, I’m happy to connect you with professionals in this area, too.
Yes, and I'm so glad you asked! I love making strategic introductions between my clients and industry or community partners with the goal of driving sales and traffic. For example, if your business is a tour company, a strategic introduction is with hotels that attract tourists who will want to take your tour. If your business is producing fine carpets or home textiles, I can arrange a strategic introduction with interior designers who have strong followings. I would be thrilled to support your communications and marketing projects. Let's discuss!
